I’ve pre-ordered both Season 3 of the Doris Day Show and her first CBS TV special.

I have been enjoying watching Doris’s television show since I got the first 2 seasons on DVD last year. It suits my attention span when it’s too short to watch a movie and it’s vastly different from what I normally see on TV.

I wonder when that boxed set promised by Warner Home Video is going to materialise too?

It’s not like sitcoms today.  Every new season was full of major changes, and it was pretty wholesome.  There were several episodes devoted to animals or watching Doris fend off the advances of eligible bachelors.  She also wore some pretty awful clothing and a lot of wigs.  But she has all the charm that had made her a star two decades before.
I’m hoping that they release the final two seasons this year as well, but I will happily wait until 2007 for season five if necessary.
