I’ve been doing kids Christmas Musicals at our church for about 10 years now. I’m looking for a new way to do the auditions. We use children 1st – 6th grade. I’m looking for a way that is not nerve wracking to the kids and stressful for me as a minister. Any ideas would be great!
Other than [title of show] and Shrek, does anyone know what other new musicals are slated to be on Broadway this season?
And by this, I mean musicals that are going to Broadway for the first time, not musicals that are already on Broadway and will still be on Broadway through this season, so I’m not looking for Legally Blonde or Wicked or any of those, just new musicals.

In recent years, we have seen many broadway musicals made into films…Rent, Hairspray, Chicago, Mamma Mia, the Producers.
Which other musicals would you like to see a screen adaptation, and who should play the leading roles?
Trumpet the Complimentary Dinopup is the dino on the street and gives his take on New York City musicals and tries to push the New Musical staring him, or at least a close relative. Can’t a dinopup scalp a ticket in this town?
I go to a small Catholic high school and I REALLY want to do a musical this year(it being my senior year). We only have 200 people in the entire school and not a lot of people are into musicals. We have a couple of guys who can sing and a few girls. I need a musical that is popular(in order to draw in an audience), with a small cast, and it does not have too many male lead/supporting parts. I am willing to double up smaller parts.

And I am currently in High School Musical(I’m Taylor) but I’m not a huge fan of the show…so I don’t want to do it.

I actually was in Little Women last February at a local community theatre and I would LOVE to do this show again but in a different role (I was Meg last time and I want to be Jo). The show however, requires VERY strong vocals,especially for girls… But it is a WONDERFUL show…the best show I’ve ever been in.
