I am doing an analysis paper for my college writing class on why people do drama. Are the social, emotional, physical or spiritual benefits to it, what really drives theater actors to do what they do?

I need a song to do for a recital. My teacher would like all of us to do musical theater this time. My friend and I are already doing a duet together with the song At the beginning. I don’t know what song I should do by myself though. I can sing just about any song with little difficulty so I don’t usually worry about notes.

for high school? I wish we could do Rent or Wicked but the rights for those cost a fortune. We’ve done a lot of musicals before and we usually go for something classic like Annie or less popular like Little Shop Of Horrors. What musicals have the best music? Thanks for the help!

Our school is putting on a big musical for high school and middle school students. They are thinking about the Wizard of Oz because the younger kids could be munchkins, can you think of anything else. The parts do not have to be for younger kids. For example, the last full school production we did was Les Mis and the kids were basically added in as the sons and daughters of the ensemble. PLEASE HELP!!!

I’m looking for a song for a solo, and I’m having trouble finding one. I want a really haunting song, something that is very powerful. Not something silly. I am a soprano, but I can sing pretty low too. I prefer something from a musical, but if there is another you can think of that isn’t from a musical, that would be great too. Thanks!

i love musical theater…but the theater kids are more like a clique…it’s less of a love of musical theater that draws them to signing up for the plays, it’s more of a social thing for them…they’re so cool and fun! but i’m just awkward around them because they’re all so smart and funny and comfortable with themselves…how can i be less reserved and awkard..?
