i know its weird for a 13 year old boy to enjoy musicals, but my chorus teacher recently got me into it..and i was wondering if anyone knew some good songs from good musicals.

grease, les mis, phantom, wicked, chicago, annie get your gun, a funny thing happened on the way to the forum, anything andrew lloyd weber, cats, my fair lady, fidler on the roof, guys and dolls, into the woods, miss saigon, music man, damn yankees, west side story, the scarlett pimpernell, and so many more. Most local libraries have cds you can check out. You should see if yours does.
RENT! I love that msical you can get the moie too I eally like the songs: rent, out tonight, tango moreen, and more that I can’t think of now but I worn you no homophobics aloud
No. If you’re really into it, why not try writing your own? You could make a great career for yourself.
musical movies : any from GREASE
theater musicals : any from wicked or the lion king or les miserables
nothing weird about that – I liked musicals at a young age and I’m just fine. (30 now)
As for good shows? well, They’re all good – I like the easy ones – like Annie, Rent, Chicago, – but they’re subject matter may not be suitable for you. Start with Disney – it’s always a good place to start – Recommend Lion King, Hunchback, and Aladdin – They have Male singing parts and you may feel more comfortable singing them.
Don’t be afraid to like something because other people will think bad of you. Who care what they think – they are trying to be too much like eachother. Be different, be unique. Be yourself
Enjoy!

A music teacher got me into them too, so don’t feel bad its not weird. My favorites are 1776 and Les Miserables, which is arguably the greatest musical of all time.
Not weird.
Grease is great, even Grease 2 has some good songs.
I love The Sound of Music, based on a true story so that makes it pretty cool.
My Fair Lady was really good as well.
My son’s in the 8th grade and his music teacher had him watch musicals in class all year last year. He didn’t like High School Musical much but he thought Grease was great and also The Sound of Music.
Disney movies, like Little Mermaid and stuff are all pretty musical and even if its corny I love the music from the Muppet’s Christmas Carol.
