I really like more dramatic, modern-ish, dark, sometimes funny movie musicals. Some of my favorites are jesus christ superstar, across the universe, sweeney todd, and little shop of horrors. I like rocky horror alright but not too much. Can anyone make some good suggestions based on my preferences?
Do you like older happy go lucky type of musicals (mary poppins, singing in the rain, sound of music) or newer bleaker realer ones (rent, across the universe). I personally love older ones… they just have a more clever and happy feel.
