I’m 14 years old and I just saw Billy elliot the musical and loved it! I would love to be in a production like this but not really sure how to go about it. I have experience in dance and drama. If anyone could tell where i may find auditions such as these advertised it would be much appreciated.

I’m going to have to do a few auditions, and I don’t have a trained voice (although I do have a few friends with Music Ed majors who could help me roughly with any audition piece) and my current voice teacher (who I don’t meet with often) isn’t a musical theater person. Can anyone recommend a song with a lot of character and fun that I could play up to downplay my lack of vocal expertise? I’m a baritone. Thanks!

I am good at acting and singing and when i try out for plays and musicals i get a small part and seniors that suck get good parts. i want to act but i dont see how this is helping me!!!! what can i do. civic theater is almost the same way because everybody knows everybody and the highschoolers try out for it too. HELP. there will be local auditions for a movie soon and i believe in myself strongly, should i do it?
I’ve been doing kids Christmas Musicals at our church for about 10 years now. I’m looking for a new way to do the auditions. We use children 1st – 6th grade. I’m looking for a way that is not nerve wracking to the kids and stressful for me as a minister. Any ideas would be great!
