I’m doing a summer camp musical review show, and I can’t think of a good name for it! I need something that goes with theatre, that’s catchy at the same time. Any ideas? Here are the shows that the songs in the review are if that helps you:
ANNIE GET YOUR GUN (No Business like Show Business, Anything You Can Do), WIZARD OF OZ (Somewhere Over the Rainbow, Ding Dong the Witch is Dead, We’re Off to See the Wizard), THE LITTLE MERMAID (Under the Sea, Part of Your World), LES MISERABLES (Castle on a Cloud), and HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL (Breakin Free, We’re All in this Together)!!
I’m wondering how playing for Les Miserables compares with other popular musicals, in terms of challenge of the playing, quality of the score, or any other area of comparison.
Has anyone ever seen Miss Saigon, or any other musical that you thought was great? I saw it and I thought it was amazing. I am looking forward to seeing Les Miserables soon too. I can’t wait. I have seen Phantom of the Opera twice and it is incredible!
They are bringing Les Mis back!!!
any ideas on a new musical to listen to; i enjoyed wicked, miss saigon, les miserables, phantom of the opera, RENT etc etc…. any ideas? i like good quality musicals with ‘big’ arias or duets..
I am pretty sure it is Les Miserables, but it might be Phantom of the Opera. I’m not sure. My dad says its Phantom, but I say it’s Les Mis. But I cant be for sure.
Out of pure boredom, I decided to sing nine different songs, all from popular musicals, but for the sake of time, (And the fun of guessing!) I only sang bits and peices! ENJOY!
I already have: Wicked, Miss Saigon, Les Miserables, Jekyll and Hyde, The Last Five Years, Parade, Aida, Phantom, RENT, and Avenue Q. I need a new one though! PLEASE!
I actually do have JC superstar and A Chorus Line on Dvd. I like JC superstar very very much. Wasn’t a big fan of my fair lady or oliver, but the king and i is good and so is fiddler. I got into Dirty Rotten Scoundrels b/c it had sherie rene scott and i love her. and linda eder
