for high school? I wish we could do Rent or Wicked but the rights for those cost a fortune. We’ve done a lot of musicals before and we usually go for something classic like Annie or less popular like Little Shop Of Horrors. What musicals have the best music? Thanks for the help!

I really like more dramatic, modern-ish, dark, sometimes funny movie musicals. Some of my favorites are jesus christ superstar, across the universe, sweeney todd, and little shop of horrors. I like rocky horror alright but not too much. Can anyone make some good suggestions based on my preferences?
