My fiance and I are looking for some options for love duets from musical theater to be sung at our wedding. That doesn’t mean they have to be ultra conservative or anything – any duet that you think would express the sentiment of love and/or marriage would be considered. The more suggestions the better.

My kids all love music!

My 6 year old Claire likes singing. When we’re in the car she will sing along to my Vanessa Carlton CD and she has a pretty voice.

My 4 year old Alexis and 3 year old Olivia both play the violin.

My 18 month old twins Sophia and Ella like to sing too!

How about your kids? Are they musical?

This is one song from my new musical, “Pirate Tenaya & her Gay Crew – the Musical” by Tenaya Hurst. As with all my cabarets and musicals, I take popular songs from musicals and…pop music, and change the lyrics to tell my story. In this case, I have chosen the song Popular to parody. This song comes at the time of the show when I have brought a Stow Away pirate, soon to be known as the Revenge Pirate, into my Captain’s Quarters. In this song, I explain to her how I will make her a pirate of love, just like me.

a boost? And could any of you give me pointers if I were to audition in a theater with little acting experience (love it, though) and a decent amount of raw talent in the vocal department?
