Hi, at my school we are doing a production of the musical, Little Women. I tried out for the part of Mr. Laurence and will have to wait a good week or two for the results. In the meantime, I would like to know examples of good and not-so-good Broadway plays/musicals. And within those two labels, where would Little Women be ranked. I think it’s a very good play but I would like to see others’ opinions on both Broadways musicals AND the musical, Little Women. Thanks.

I really enjoyed the songs and overall feel of Fiddler on the Roof. But it is really the only musical I have ever seen–what other musicals might I enjoy that are similar to this?
…mmm nope, i’m from Florida.

We want something that has lots of male and female parts. Something preferably not too dark (we did Sweeney Todd last year)
Also, we DON’T want to do some thing that is extremely popular. In the last 10 ish years or so we have done Beauty and the Beast, South Pacific, Guys and Dolls, Crazy for You and many other popular musicals.
What do you think?

Our drama director hasn’t announced our musical yet and she gave us a hint that it’s a musical with no theme song. For example, 42nd Street and Phantom of the Opera both have theme songs or songs with the same name as the musical. What are some musicals without theme songs?
