In big name musicals such as Phantom of the Opera where billions of dollars have been grossed, where does all that money go? I know of course the venue gets a huge cut and salaries of the cast and crew must be met but I don’t see how that can reach these numbers. How much money do the creators and composers receive? Do they still get paid after all these years?

Our drama director hasn’t announced our musical yet and she gave us a hint that it’s a musical with no theme song. For example, 42nd Street and Phantom of the Opera both have theme songs or songs with the same name as the musical. What are some musicals without theme songs?

Has anyone ever seen Miss Saigon, or any other musical that you thought was great? I saw it and I thought it was amazing. I am looking forward to seeing Les Miserables soon too. I can’t wait. I have seen Phantom of the Opera twice and it is incredible!
They are bringing Les Mis back!!!

For music I am to play a piece from a musical on the piano
I prefer going solo, so a piano piece would be nice
I was just wondering if you can suggest some nice, popular, easy musical songs for the piano
By popular, I mean like -Phantom of the Opera
-Hakuna Matata
-Under the Sea
etc etc
it would be nice if you could list many as many of my class members have already taken many of the good ones
The three i listed above are taken
