I’m looking for a song for a solo, and I’m having trouble finding one. I want a really haunting song, something that is very powerful. Not something silly. I am a soprano, but I can sing pretty low too. I prefer something from a musical, but if there is another you can think of that isn’t from a musical, that would be great too. Thanks!

I’m doing a musical theater workshop next month, and I need 2 songs: one upbeat and one ballad. I’m a soprano who can hit low notes, as in, I can’t belt. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I’m a classical singer. I went to college and majored in Music (vocal/classical.) I’m now continuing my studies and I am beginning to get into some musical theater. My vocal coach told me to pick a piece that I would like to work on. Idk any musical theater peices that would be good for me. I am a soprano. Since it’s musical theater and I would be belting would I pick something lower? What would be some good songs to work on?

For example, I’m fairly new in the "performing arts" world. What are the major musicals I should honestly know about?
I am an alto, but I can sing soprano (though not as well). I am 15 years old, so I don’t know if that will affect anything.

I am auditioning for a lead role (hopefully) in an amateur musical theater production. They have said that along with a ballad I need a good character song.
