I need to know about different musical films/performances because I need to choose some songs to sing, so please if anyone know of any musical even if it’s not so popular it is also good. Pls don’t mention any Jesus Christ Superstar, Sound of music, Sister Act because I already checked them out. Thanks so much!!!

I studied in Salzburg and saw all the tour sites etc but i just wondered how Austrians felt about the Sound of Music was it overrated?
I love watching old musicals. My favourites are 7 Brides for 7 Brothers, Kiss Me Kate and The Sound of Music. Could you suggest some others that I would enjoy watching? West Side Story or Annie Get Your Gun Maybe? And why do you like them?
What I mean is can I perform for public performance of stage play musicals like: Miss Saigon, The Phantom of the Opera, Evita, Les Miserables, The Flower Drum Song, Grease, Dream Girls, Chicago, Moulin Rouge, and The Sound of Music? Sort of A Great White Way Compilation Performance?

Do you like older happy go lucky type of musicals (mary poppins, singing in the rain, sound of music) or newer bleaker realer ones (rent, across the universe). I personally love older ones… they just have a more clever and happy feel.
When I go on his website, I see musicals like The Sound of Music and the Wizard of Oz that I know for a fact he did not compose… Along with Joseph, Jesus Christ Superstar, Evita, and Phantom, what musicals did he actually compose?
My oldest 2 (6 and 3) like Alvin and the Chipmunks, Hotel for Dogs, Baby’s Day Out, Enchanted, Mama Mia (lol). They just discovered Eloise at the Plaza ~on disney today. They arent really into cartoon movies, what are some regular movies geared toward kids, or musicals (They also like HSM, Grease, Sound of Music etc.)
I’m a male actor in musical theatre and I’m starting to have some problems finding good musicals to pull audition material from. If anyone has any suggestions they would be greatly appreciated.

These musicals are great and I love their songs, but they are used way too much for audition purposes by other people and it’s not a good thing for an actor/actress to use a song from them since the auditors are probably sick and tired of hearing them by now.
