We want something that has lots of male and female parts. Something preferably not too dark (we did Sweeney Todd last year)

Also, we DON’T want to do some thing that is extremely popular. In the last 10 ish years or so we have done Beauty and the Beast, South Pacific, Guys and Dolls, Crazy for You and many other popular musicals.

I really like more dramatic, modern-ish, dark, sometimes funny movie musicals. Some of my favorites are jesus christ superstar, across the universe, sweeney todd, and little shop of horrors. I like rocky horror alright but not too much. Can anyone make some good suggestions based on my preferences?

I personally hate them all, but thats because I’m into music more along the lines of Marylin Manson, and musicals more like Sweeney Todd.

I am going on a 12 hour flight and I want a couple new albums of musicals to listen too. I like to listen to musicals when I travel cause it entertains me and makes the time go faster.

I want to search for some creepy musicals and of nursery rhymes. I already know Sweeney Todd, Into The Woods and the Three Penny Opera for musicals and Ring around the Rosie for Nursery Rhymes.

I’m planning on creating a play using villians from various plays and musicals coming together and I would like to use songs from some shows (ie Sweeney Todd). My production budget is pretty slim, as in, whatever i can afford and I just want to know what i’m getting myself into royalties wise.
