what musicals should i do and what musicals should i NOT do?

I need to find a song for a Districts Competition. It has to be a theatre production musical and a solo. If you have any ideas please provide! For the part of what musicals I shouldn’t do well its any musical what so ever that is overly popular and songs judges would get tired of hearing. Musicals like Hairspray is popular this year so I’m not doing it any other musicals you know of tell me PLEASE!!!!
